Dempo Shipbuilding has completed annual underwater Hull and ASD routines of Indian Coast Guard Interceptor Boat

The Goa-based Dempo Shipbuilding & Engineering Pvt. Ltd has successfully completed Annual Underwater Hull and ASD routines (UR-2) for Indian Coast Guard (ICG)’s high-speed interceptor boat ICG C-162 this month.

The 28 metres long aluminium hull vessel is designed for a speed of upto 35 knots. The vessel is capable of operating in shallow waters and deep seas.

Dempo Shipbuilding has two state-of-the-technology shipyards in Goa, India. Located strategically a few kilometres upstream from the Arabian Sea in Goa on the West Coast of India, one is on the Zuari River (for vessels needing a deeper draught) at Undir, Bandora, and the other on the Mandovi River at Bainguinim, Old Goa.
